Craft Teachings
Do you need someone to lead a workshop or class to support artistic expression, creativity, and mindfulness? Lets talk. I am open to working with nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, California. Below is a snapshot of my original craft classes and workshops.
The Friendship Era: Bracelet Making
FREE Richmond Art Center, 4/25/2026
Have fun making bracelets at Spring Family Day on April 25, 2025 from 12-3pm. Students will learn the techniques to make two bracelet styles: custom word-beaded bracelets, and intricate fiber bands inspired by traditional Central American patterns. Students will design their own unique pieces and leave with finished bracelets and the skills to make many more.

Tenango Embroidery

Instead of brushes, colorful yarns and felt will be pressed into canvas paper with glue to form a beautiful visual story of animals and sacred symbols. The workshop is part of the Richmond Art Center's Art Club "A Third Space for Creative Minds".

Zig Zag Weavers

We will focus on three key structures: the classic plain weave, the diagonal twill weave, and the distinct V-shape of the herringbone pattern. Students will leave with the skills to create their own lively, textured pieces.
Wild Threads:
Free-Form Nature Embroidery
Richmond Art Center
An in-person, one-week class for youth on beginner-friendly embroidery from July 21 to 24, 2026 at 10am to 2pm. Students will learn various free-form embroidery stitches to create organic shapes, landscapes, and textures inspired by nature. Drawing on the fabric is welcome, and students will have access to drawing paper for brainstorming.

Echos of the Gallery
Create art inspired by exhibitions at galleries, such as the Richmond Art Center and the SF Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. I am open to leading sessions inspired by artworks at other galleries or museums as well. Materials will be provided, and participants will be able to take their artwork home.
Learn how to use multi-media techniques (drawing, water color, pom poms, feathers, flexible wire with fuzzy fibers or pipe cleaners). My latest art gallery workshop was for youth and inspired by Luis Garcia’s work in the "Seeds of Tradition" exhibition, presented by the Richmond Art Center.
